HOW WE STARTED:

After 5 years of seeking the Lord for a way to become involved in ministry, ACTS 4 MINISTRIES was birthed in the heart of Ron Harris in September of 2006.

Desperately wanting to make a difference in the lives of others, Ron was shown that by ministering to the physical needs of hurting individuals, people would see, first hand, the love of Christ.

ACTS 4 MINISTRIES stands on the words spoken by Jesus in John 13:34-35 where He states “³⁴So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. ³⁵Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” (NLT)

WHO WE ARE:

ACTS 4 MINISTRIES is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization supported by over 100 volunteers in Martinsville and Henry County , Virginia .

Our volunteers have replaced leaking roofs, repaired HVAC systems, renovated bathrooms to make them handicap accessible and replaced windows to improve heating/cooling efficiency. We have cleaned homes for shut-ins and disabled individuals, moved widows and individuals with terminal illnesses and distributed food and gifts to families in need at Christmas.

OUR MISSION :

The mission of ACTS 4 MINISTRIES is to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of hurting individuals. With God’s direction, we will be the hands and feet of Christ as we reach out and help His creation in a variety of different situations.

In January of this year, Marty and Mandy Rhodes felt God’s calling to adopt a child in need. Although they are the proud parents of 2 wonderful children, God instilled a desire in them to show His love to a child who would otherwise not have an opportunity to be part of a family.
